Well this should set the cat amongst the pigeons. Your noble sleuth has been mulling over this for quite some time now and feels it's worth a shot.
It should flush out all those schools who are NOT on the TEFL Blacklist.
How it will develop ? Who knows.
The first posting will be a job board where you can post all those great jobs and reach a huge discerning audience.
Rules are as follows:
1. For obvious reasons you must not be on the TEFL Blacklist
2. You can post your job for free.
3. You need to provide a link to the TEFL Whitelist on your school site. This should help the good schools stand out.
This isn't good news for Cactus TEFL, Tefl.com and i-1. It is at least an attempt on the Inspector's part to help the good guys. I'll run it on trial for a while and review the situation periodically.
If you are a decent school and treat your teachers fairly then you have nothing to fear and will reach a huge audience for free.
It's very early days so expect the TEFL Whitelist to undergo some changes to improve the functionality etc.
